Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a laser-welded steel pipe stably in a high yield by deciding a laser welding situation highly precisely and by changing a welding condition on the basis of the decision result.  The irradiating region of a laser beam to irradiate an edge portion from an outer face side is monitored from the inner face side of an open pipe.  The welding condition by the laser beam is continuously kept, if a keyhole extending to the inner face side of the open pipe is observed.  The welding condition by the laser beam is changed, if the keyhole extending to the inner face side of the open pipe is not observed.  Thus, the welding operation is performed such that the keyhole extending through the open pipe from the outer face side to the inner face side is formed in the irradiating region of the laser beam.
