Abstract:
A method of efficiently manufacturing a light-alloy forged wheel having a disk with curved design pattern, comprising the steps of forming a whole or a part of fillet parts (6a) and (6b) of a design on a disk surface of the wheel by forging beforehand to provide a disk (1a), and cutting hatched parts (7) along the fillet parts by milling to provide an opening part or irregularities so as to add a three-dimensional design, the depth of forming of the fillet parts by forging being desirably approx. 2 to 10 mm and approx. 1/5 to 1/2 of the overall thickness of the forging, whereby a milling time by a machining center can be shortened remarkably.
