Abstract:
Provided is a method for manufacturing a light emitting element having excellent luminous efficiency. A method for manufacturing a light emitting element having a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a light emitting layer provided between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, and a sealing layer, which comprises: a step for forming the light emitting layer by a coating method using an iridium complex that has an iridium atom as the central metal, or the like; a step for forming the positive electrode or the negative electrode; and a step for forming the sealing layer. During exposure of the light emitting element to ozone in the production process from the beginning of the step for forming the light emitting layer to the end of the step for forming the sealing layer, the average of the ozone concentration (A ppb) and the time (B minutes) satisfy formula (1-1). 0 ≤ A × B ≤ 1,000 formula (1-1)
