Abstract:
The present invention is characterized in that a jacket main body (2) is formed by a first aluminum alloy, a seal body (3) is formed by a second aluminum alloy, the first aluminum alloy is a kind of material having higher hardness than the second aluminum alloy, and the present invention includes: a preparation step for forming a level difference part (12) having a level-difference bottom surface (12) on a peripheral wall part (11) and an obliquely rising level-difference side surface (12b); a mounting step for mounting the seal body (3) on the jacket main body (2) and forming a first butt weld part (J2), and superposing the level-difference bottom surface (12a) and a back surface (3b) of the seal body (3) and forming a second butt weld part (J2); and a main joining step for performing friction stir welding in a state in which only a stirring pin (F2) of a rotating rotary tool (F) is brought into contact only with the seal body (3).
