Abstract:
This invention provides a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal device, comprising a spacer placement step of disposing elastic spacers (60, 61) on a substrate (10). The method is characterized in that the spacer placement step comprises the step of forming a light shielding spacer placement level difference part (70) on a substrate (10) and the step of coating a liquid material containing first and second spacer groups on the spacer placement level difference part (70), and, in the liquid material, the first spacer group comprises spacers (60) which can regulate the space of the substrate (10) on the step in the spacer placement level difference part (70), while the second spacer group comprises spacers (61) which can regulate the space of the substrate (10) in the lower part in the spacer placement level difference part(70), and, further, the second spacer group is contained in an amount of 12.5% to 50% based on the first spacer group.
