Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display panel comprises using a graphene/PEDOT:PSS composite transparent conductive film to replace, on a TFT substrate (10) and a CF substrate (20), a conventional ITO transparent conductive film and adding a polar material (51) into a liquid crystal material (52) of the liquid crystal display panel. The polar material (51) has a general structural formula of A-B; the head group A functions to generate a greater intermolecular force between the polar material (51) and the graphene/PEDOT:PSS composite transparent conductive film, and the tail group B functions as a PI side chain to achieve a vertical arrangement of the liquid crystal molecules by means of steric hindrance, providing a vertical alignment effect. The polar material (51) is capable of generating a greater intermolecular force between the polar material (51) and the graphene/PEDOT:PSS composite transparent conductive film, so as to be arranged vertically on the surfaces of the TFT substrate (10) and the CF substrate (20), thereby inducing vertical arrangement of liquid crystal molecules and replacing the use of a PI alignment film in liquid crystal alignment. The method of the present invention allows omission of the PI alignment film process, lowering alignment film production costs, while increasing productivity.
