Abstract:
The present invention is a method for manufacturing magnetic particles that include a manganese–aluminum alloy, wherein a mixed powder is obtained by mixing manganese particles, an aluminum source, an activator that includes a halide, and a sintering inhibitor, then the mixed powder is heated, a gap between sintering inhibitors formed by the sintering inhibitor is used to calorize the manganese particles, and a treated mixture that comprises magnetic particles that include a manganese–aluminum alloy is obtained. The proportion (Al/Mn) of aluminum to manganese in the manganese–aluminum alloy is in the range 25/75 to 35/65 by mass ratio. The magnetic particles that include the manganese–aluminum alloy is collected by removing the sintering inhibitor from the treated mixture.
