Title:
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A MEMBRANE-ELECTRODE ASSEMBLY FOR A POLYMER ELECTROLYTE, AND MEMBRANE-ELECTRODE ASSEMBLY MANUFACTURED THEREBY
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/153915
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a membrane-electrode assembly for a polymer electrolyte adopting an electrolyte membrane which reduces a glass transition temperature using a hydrophilic solvent, and to a membrane-electrode assembly for a polymer electrolyte manufactured thereby. In the method for manufacturing the membrane-electrode assembly for an electrolyte of the present invention, in a conventional method for manufacturing a membrane-electrode assembly for a polymer electrolyte using a decal process the glass transition temperature of an electrolyte membrane to which a catalyst is transferred may be reduced so as to transfer 100% of the catalyst at approximately 120℃, which is a hot pressing condition even for an electrolyte membrane material having a relatively high glass transition temperature. Thus, the problem of the degradation of the electrolyte membrane in conventional methods may be solved.
