Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a method for manufacturing microparticles having a regulated crystallite diameter. At least two types of fluids to be treated; i.e., a starting material fluid containing a substance to be precipitated, and a precipitation fluid containing a substance for causing precipitation of the substance to be precipitated, are mixed in a thin-film fluid formed between at least two treatment surfaces which are approachably and separably disposed facing each other. At least one treatment surface rotates relative to the other, and the substance to be precipitated having a regulated crystallite diameter is caused to precipitate. At this time, specific conditions related to the fluid to be treated introduced between the treatment surfaces are varied to regulate the crystallite diameter of the substance to be precipitated. The specific conditions are at least two conditions selected from the group consisting of: the type of substance to be precipitated included in the starting material fluid and/or substance included in the precipitation fluid; the concentration of the substance to be precipitated included in the starting material fluid and/or substance included in the precipitation fluid; the pH of the starting material fluid and/or precipitation fluid; the introduction temperature of the starting material fluid and/or precipitation fluid; and the introduction speed of the starting material fluid and/or precipitation fluid.
