Abstract:
In a method for manufacturing an optical element according to an embodiment of the present invention: a perforated tape 7 that has a plurality of holes 9 and is affixed to a dicing frame is brought close to a substrate 1 having a plurality of protrusions 2, 3 provided on at least one surface; the positions of the plurality of protrusions 2 and the plurality of holes 9 are adjusted, after which the perforated tape 7 is bonded to the substrate 1; the substrate 1 is cut at a portion positioned among the plurality of protrusions; and the plurality of protrusions are respectively separated to manufacture a plurality of optical elements. The holes 9 have an internal shape larger than the external shape of the protrusions 2, and have a depth greater than the height of the protrusions 2.
