Abstract:
An aspect of the present invention is a method for manufacturing an optical film by a solution casting film forming method, the method for manufacturing the optical film being characterized in that in a step of drying a web on a support, part of a solvent contained in the web is evaporated by spraying drying air (dry wind) on the web on the support, and at this time, using a blower capable of changing the drying rate in the width direction of the web, the drying condition at both ends in the width direction of the web is made stronger than that at the center in the width direction of the web. More specifically, the speed of the dry wind is made higher and/or the drying temperature is made higher.
