Abstract:
This method for manufacturing an optical film comprises: a step for forming a coating film on a surface having a knurling portion of a continuous film support; a step for winding a surface reverse to the surface having the knurling portion of the continuous film support on which the coating film is formed around a temperature regulating roll while bringing the reverse surface into contact therewith, and irradiating the coating film on the temperature regulating roll with an active energy ray; and a step for bringing the surface having the knurling portion of the continuous film support into contact with a roll member, wherein the conveyance speed U of the continuous film support, the viscosity μ of air at the surface temperature of the temperature regulating roll, the radius R of the temperature regulating roll, the height hk of the knurling portion, tension T applied to a continuous film, and a distance L from a point of separation from the temperature regulating roll to a point of contact with the roll member of the continuous film support satisfy relational expression (1).
