Abstract:

The present invention has a preparation step (S1) in which conditions for applying a coating liquid to an optical lens substrate are satisfied, and an application step (S2) in which the coating liquid is applied to a lens face of an optical lens substrate. Conditions for applying a coating liquid based on a convex side include a first condition and a second condition. The first condition is that the angle of an axis of an optical lens substrate (1) relative to horizontal is within a pre-set angle range. The second condition is that the optical lens substrate is rotated at a pre-set rotation rate about the axis. The pre-set angle range is an angle range between the maximum inclination angle of the axis such that a peripheral edge of the lens face is positioned at the highest position of the lens face, and the maximum inclination angle of the axis such that the peripheral edge of the lens face is positioned at the lowest position of the lens face. The pre-set rotation rate is a rotation rate at which the coating liquid applied to the lens face is retained at the application position.
