Abstract:
Provided is a method for manufacturing an organic electroluminescent (EL) panel, said method being capable of minimizing the performance deterioration of an organic EL panel in a case where a flexible substrate (16) provided with organic EL elements (3) thereon is wound up after the application of a sealing member (15) to each of the organic EL elements (3). This method for manufacturing an organic EL panel comprises: applying sealing members (15) respectively to multiple organic EL elements (3) in an organic EL element substrate obtained by forming multiple organic EL elements (3) on a long flexible substrate (16) by a roll-to-roll process, each of the organic EL elements (3) comprising at least a first electrode (11), an organic functional layer (12) that contains a light-emitting layer, and a second electrode (13); and thereafter winding up the resulting organic EL element substrate. The method is characterized in that prior to the winding-up, space-occupying members (1) are disposed on the flexible substrate (16) so as to occupy at least a part of the space that is not occupied by the organic EL elements (3).
