Abstract:

Disclosed are a method for manufacturing an ornamental metal article provided with a wood-grain metal pattern made of calcined copper portions obtained by calcining a copper-containing plastic component and calcined silver portions obtained by calcining a silver-containing plastic component, and the ornamental metal article provided with the wood-grain metal pattern. The method comprises: a plate forming process for generating copper plates and silver plates; a multi-layering and tightly adhering process wherein the copper plates and the silver plates are alternately superposed on each other with water on the adhering surfaces and extended so as to reduce the thickness of the superposed plates by 10% or more, adhering tightly to each other; a wood-grain metal plate forming process wherein the surface of the multilayered plate, the resultant of the multi-layering and tightly adhering process, is shaved so as to expose at least a part of the plates, and the multilayered plate is extended so as to flatten the shaved surface thereof, forming the wood-grain metal pattern; a process for forming an ornament with the wood-grain metal pattern wherein the ornament is formed using the formed wood-grain metal plate; an ornament drying process for drying the ornament; and a calcined object generation process for obtaining the calcined ornamental object by calcining the ornament, the resultant of the ornament drying process.
