Abstract:
The present invention is a method for manufacturing pants-type absorbent articles provided with an absorbent main body (2) and an outer covering (3) disposed on the non-skin-facing side of the absorbent main body (2), wherein each of the skin-facing surfaces at the two ends of the absorbent main body (2) in the longitudinal direction are individually covered by covers (5, 6) that are separate from the outer covering (3). This method for manufacturing pants-type absorbent articles comprises: a raw fabric sheet-cutting process for making cuts in a single band-shaped raw fabric sheet (10A) that is moving, the cuts being made along the movement direction (MD), to cut an outer covering-configuring sheet (11) for configuring the outer covering apart from a cover-configuring sheet (12) for configuring the covers; and a main body-bonding process for bonding the respective sheets (11, 12), which have been cut apart in the raw fabric sheet-cutting process, with absorbent main bodies (2).
