Abstract:
This method for manufacturing a pentaerythritol mercapto carboxylic acid ester comprises a step in which pentaerythritol and a mercapto carboxylic acid are reacted. The light absorbance of a 5 wt% aqueous solution of the pentaerythritol for the 270nm wavelength as measured using a quartz cuvette having an optical path length of 50mm is at most 0.07.
