Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for efficiently manufacturing phosphonate esters by phosphonylating an alcohol under mild conditions and a method for manufacturing phosphate esters. In this method for manufacturing phosphonate esters, a compound represented by the formula (1) and a compound represented by the formula (2) are allowed to react in the presence of a zinc catalyst to obtain a compound represented by the formula (3). Formula (1): X-OH X represents an organic group. R1 represents an alkyl group. R2 represents an organic group.
