Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to form a thermal insulation layer on a squish area surface on the top surface of a piston main body while preventing large cracks from occurring in the thermal insulation layer and suppressing damage and separation of the thermal insulation layer. In order to achieve this, in the present invention, a thermal insulation layer 21 provided on the top surface of the piston main body 19 is pressurized and is subjected in advance to pressurizing stress.
