Abstract:
Provided is a method for manufacturing a piston rod by adjoining mutual end surfaces of a rod body and a rod head. The method is provided with a first step of hollowing central axis portions of the rod body and the rod head and for removing impurities due to centerline segregation, and a second step of adjoining the mutual end surfaces of the rod body and the rod head by friction pressure welding.
