Abstract:
Provided is a method for manufacturing a plasma display panel which has excellent image display performance with relatively low power consumption drive by preventing the qualities of a protection layer containing MgO from changing due to adsorption of impurities, even the panel is a high definition panel.
Therefore, a sealing material paste, which contains a low-melting-point glass, filler, solvent and binder, is applied on the surface of a back substrate. Then, in a preliminary burning step, preliminary burning is performed at a temperature below the softening point of the sealing material as the highest temperature. Thus, organic components are left in the low molecular state and are removed by evacuation in a gas releasing step.
