Abstract:
Provided are a method of manufacturing a tire having bead sections with considerably
increased durability that is achieved by accurately arranging tire constituting
members and with manufacturing efficiency maintained at a high level, and such
a tire. In the method, a green tire is formed by bonding the tire constituting members
on a rigid core (1) having an external surface shape generally corresponding
to the internal surface shape of a product tire. The method has a step of bonding
a carcass ply (2) on the rigid core (1); a step of placing ring-like bead cores (3)
on the outer sides, in the lateral direction of the tire, of the carcass ply (2);
a step of folding back, around the bead cores (3), the ends of the carcass ply (2)
from the inner side to the outer side in the lateral direction of the tire; and a
step of moving ring-like restraint members (5), having an inner diameter larger
than the outer diameter of the bead cores (3), from the outer side to the inner side
in the lateral direction of the tire until the folded parts (4) of the carcass ply
(2) are bent to the inner sides in the lateral direction of the tire.
