Abstract:
The present invention realizes the manufacture of a composite material molded article which has an excellent appearance, is resistant to a decrease in mechanical characteristics, and is highly producible. A sheet of unidirectional material is fixed to a specific area of a lower mold, and a specific part of an area of the sheet that undergoes shear deformation or compressive deformation is subjected to a force in an out-of-plane direction, whereby the sheet is shaped into a preform. The preform is heated and pressed with a mold into a composite material molded article having a desired shape.
