Abstract:
[Problem] To obtain a quantum dot with a novel structure. [Solution] In the present invention, a method for manufacturing a quantum dot comprises: a step in which nanoseed particles with a prescribed crystal plane exposed are dispersed in a solvent; and a step in which a semiconductor layer is grown on the crystal plane of the nanoseed particles in the solvent.
