Title:
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A REGENERATED FISCHER-TROPSCH SYNTHESIS CATALYST, AND HYDROCARBON MANUFACTURING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/108348
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a regenerated Fischer-Tropsch synthesis catalyst by regenerating a used catalyst which was previously used in a Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reaction. Said used catalyst, in which cobalt and/or ruthenium is supported by a silica-containing support having a mean pore diameter between 4 and 25 nm due to a nitrogen adsorption method, exhibits an activity (initial CO conversion rate) between 40% and 95% of that of an equivalent unused catalyst. The disclosed method is characterized by the provision of a steaming step in which the aforementioned used catalyst is brought into contact with a mixed gas containing an inert gas and between 1% and 30% water vapor by volume, at a temperature between 150°C and 350°C and a pressure between atmospheric pressure and 5 MPa.
