Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a shape memory security label is provided, which includes: performing cross-linking to polymer materials with shape memory ability in the barrel of an extruder or an injection molding machine by a peroxide cross-linking process or a one-step silane cross-linking process. Thus, the product formed by extrusion or injection molding has memory ability directly. A extruded sheet may be a flat sheet or a sheet with concavo-convex patterns or text on the surface. Then, the coss-linked sheet is heated to above the deformation temperature, and patterns or text is printed by pressing the flat sheet. Alternatively, flat or other patterns or text is formed by pressing the sheet with concavo- convex patterns or text, then the sheet is cut into pieces, each of which implicitly has a pattern or a group of text. In the method, the chemical cross-linking process and the sheet molding (or injection molding) are performed simultaneously, which may simplify the manufacturing process and achieve reduction of cost.
