Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a method for manufacturing a sheet-shaped cell structure having excellent strength and shape-maintaining performance, and of providing a sheet-shaped cell structure having excellent strength and shape-maintaining performance. Through the present invention, there is provided a method for manufacturing a sheet-shaped cell structure, the method including: a step for adding biocompatible polymer blocks, cells, and a liquid culture medium to a culture support having a plurality of depressions on a culture surface, and causing the biocompatible polymer blocks and the cells to be immersed in topmost parts of the depressions; and a step for culturing the cells and obtaining a sheet-shaped cell structure.
