Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a shell-shaped dental instrument. The method comprises: acquiring a three-dimensional digital model of teeth of a patient; adding a three-dimensional digital model of solid elements (203a-203f) at selected locations on the three-dimensional digital model of the teeth of the patient, so as to obtain a three-dimensional digital model of male molds (200a-200f); using the three-dimensional digital model of the male molds (200a-200f) to control a 3D printing device, so as to manufacture the male molds (200a-200f), wherein the solid elements (203a-203f) are detachable from the male molds (200a-200f); pressing films on the male molds (200a-200f) by using a hot pressing film forming process, so as to obtain shell-shaped dental instrument bodies (210a-210f); and disengaging the shell-shaped dental instrument bodies (210a-210f) and the solid elements (203a-203f) from the male molds (200a-200f), so as to obtain a shell-shaped dental instrument, which comprises the shell-shaped dental instrument bodies (210a-210f), and the solid elements (203a-203f) that are maintained and accommodated in corresponding accommodating cavities (211a-211f) of the shell-shaped dental instrument bodies (210a-210f).
