Abstract:
Provided is a method for manufacturing a composite material having high strength and high thermal conductivity. This method includes an alloy production step for producing an alloy in which at least one species of α-phase-stabilizing element is in solid solution with αFe, a first mixing step for mixing SiC and at least one species of α-phase-stabilizing element in powder form to produce a first mixture, a second mixing step for mixing the aforementioned alloy and the first mixture to produce a second mixture, and a sintering step for sintering the second mixture.
