Abstract:
A manufacturing method for a sintered component is provided with: a molding step for fabricating a molded body by press molding a raw material powder that includes metal powder; a hole opening processing step for forming a hole in the molded body using a drill to form a thin part with a thickness smaller than the diameter of the hole between the inside peripheral surface of the hole and the outside surface of the molded body; and a sintering step for sintering the molded body after the hole opening processing step. The hole opening processing step is performed in a state wherein a region spanning the entire length in the axial direction of the hole on the outside surface of the molded body is pressed, and the width of the pressed region on the outside surface of the molded body is ⅓ to 2 times the diameter of the hole.
