Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a stabilizer according to the present invention is fabricated using a tubular member, the manufacturing method comprising: a bending and molding step for bending the tubular member to mold the same into the shape of the stabilizer; a quenching step for quenching the tubular member after the molding step; an annealing step for annealing the tubular member after quenching; an autofrettage step for introducing a working medium inside the tubular member after the annealing step to impart a residual stress inside the tubular member; a terminal molding step for molding an end part of the tubular member after the autofrettage treatment; and a shot peening step for subjecting an outer surface of the tubular member to shot peening after the terminal molding step.
