Abstract:

A sealed self-standing bag suitable for an application such as a medical infusion bag, the standing bag being configured so as to eliminate the possibility of mixing of bacteria and dust into the bag. Three projections are provided to each of diametrically facing positions of a lip, and three vertical grooves (f1, f2, f3) are formed at each of diametrically facing positions of a tubular sheet (F). A forming tube (41) for forming a gusset shape is provided below a die. The forming tube (41) is provided with forming projections (41-1) at diametrically facing positions on the inner periphery of the forming tube (41). The height of the forming projections (41-1) is small on the upstream side and increases in the downstream direction. The cross-sectional shape of the forming tube (41) gradually changes from a circular shape at the upper end (41a) to a flat shape at the lower end (41b). The front ends of the forming projections (41-1) engage with the vertical groove (f1) in the middle of the tubular sheet to guide the sheet so that the sheet is smoothly folded into a reverse-V shape, and the grooves (f2, f3) at both ends reliably fold back the sheet into flat surface sections.
