Abstract:
According to the present invention, a method for manufacturing a rack bar includes: a rolling dies contacting process in which a pair of rolling dies are brought into contact with an intermediate section of a workpiece; and a ball screw groove forming process in which a ball screw groove is formed in the workpiece by relatively moving the workpiece with respect to the pair of rolling dies such that the region in which the pair of rolling dies are brought into contact with the workpiece is moved from the intermediate section to a first end part.
