Abstract:
Provided are a method for manufacturing a structure and a structure, the structure being made of FRP and achieving a high degree of freedom in cross-sectional shape even at low cost. The method for manufacturing a structure comprises: a winding step for winding multiple sheets of composite material around a hollow cylindrical core material CY to form a tubular laminate LM, the composite material including reinforcement fiber and an uncured thermosetting resin; a compressing step for winding a tape TP or a film on the outer circumference of the laminate LM to compress the laminate LM; a preliminary heating step for heating the laminate LM to a state in which the thermosetting resin is not completely cured; and a main heating step for heating the laminate LM until the thermosetting resin is completely cured while transforming the cylindrical core material CY into a non-circular cross-sectional shape by disposing the laminate LM and the cylindrical core material CY with the tape TP or the film wound therearound in a mold and applying pressure to the mold. As a result, it is possible to form a structure in which the cylindrical core material CY and the laminate LM are integrated.
