Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a synthetic leather characterized in that a liquid obtained by adding a thickener (B) containing 2 x 10 – 2 mol/g or less of an oxyethylene group to an aqueous urethane resin composition including an aqueous urethane resin (A) having an acid value of 0.01 mgKOH/g or greater in a range of 0.01-30 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the aqueous urethane resin (A), and thereafter the thickened liquid is coated to a base material and coagulated with a coagulant (C) including a metal salt (c-1). It is preferable that one or more kinds of thickener be used, as the thickener, that is selected from the group consisting of a cellulose thickener, an acrylic thickener, and a urethane thickener. Furthermore, calcium nitrate is preferable as the metal salt (c-1).
