Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a "method for manufacturing three-dimensional moldings" that decreases 'local protrusions' which can occur with light beam irradiation performed under conditions in which the irradiation path is subdivided. The manufacturing method according to the present invention is a method for manufacturing three-dimensional moldings that repeatedly performs powder layer formation and solidified layer formation using (i) a process for forming a solidified layer by irradiating a light beam on a specific region of a powder layer by scanning the light beam to sinter or melt and solidify the powder in the specific region, and (ii) a process for forming a new powder layer on the solidified layer obtained and irradiating the light beam on a specific region of the new powder layer to form a different solidified layer. The method for manufacturing three-dimensional moldings is characterized in that: the light beam irradiation path in the specific region is subdivided into multiple irradiation subpaths and thereby comprises, as said irradiation subpaths, short irradiation subpaths with lengths less than a specified length and long irradiation subpaths of a specified length or longer; and in the processes (i) and (ii), the light beam irradiation method is changed according to the length of the irradiation subpath.
