Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to prevent bumping of a tin hydroxide powder in a drying step in a process for manufacturing a tin hydroxide powder by electrolysis. Provided is a method for manufacturing a tin hydroxide powder, in which a tin hydroxide powder is produced by electrolysis using an aqueous solution of ammonium nitrate as an electrolyte, the method being characterized by comprising: a cleaning step S13 in which a cake that contains the tin hydroxide powder is cleaned with a cleaning fluid so that the electrical conductivity of the cleaning fluid after cleaning is 500 µS/m or less; and a drying step S15 in which the tin hydroxide powder-containing cake that has been cleaned in the cleaning step is dried at 110-150°C.
