Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a bearing retainer for a transmission and particularly to a bearing retainer wherein the bearing supporting the transmission shaft is fixed so that it is immobile in the shaft direction, wherein the dimensional precision of the part on which a bolt head is coupled is enhanced, surface grind processing and roughness are minimized so that the bolt head fixing the bearing retainer may be joined, attached and assembled with enhanced stability, and deterioration of the joining force of the bolt can be effectively prevented, wherein the deterioration would have resulted from a gap generated at the point of attachment of the bolt head which introduced oil and ultimately vibration. The method for manufacturing the bearing retainer according to the invention forms a bolt hole, with which a bolt is joined with a bolt retainer, by forming bolt base hole (14) through piercing by press processing, and forming expansion hole (16), to which a bolt head is attached, through sizing by press processing. Accordingly, the surface roughness of the part where a bolt is joined to a retainer (in particular the enlarged hole) is reduced through plastic deformation and the result is superior to conventional cut processing such that breakdown or damage of the transmission can be prevented particularly where deterioration of the joining force of the bolt due to a gap generated at the point where the bolt head is attached, occurs, introducing oil and ultimately vibration.
