Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a method for manufacturing a transparent electrode having both sufficient conductivity and light permeability. In this method for manufacturing a transparent electrode, an organic layer containing an organic compound having at least one type of atom selected from nitrogen and sulfur atoms, and a metal layer containing silver or an alloy having silver as a main component, are layered on a substrate in this order. The method for manufacturing a transparent electrode is characterized in that the metal layer is layered in a state in which the substrate having the organic layer formed thereon is held at a temperature within the range of -273°C to 20°C, and the substrate is then heat-treated at a temperature within the range of 40°C to the glass transition temperature of the substrate.
