Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a method for manufacturing an upper support, the method being configured so that a flange section is not warped and deformed when the method integrates, by vulcanization and adhesion, a rubber elastic body with a cup fitting serving as an inner fitting, the cup fitting doubling as a rebound stopper fitting, and then the method expands the diameter of the tube-shaped section of the cup fitting to apply pre-compression to the rubber elastic body.
[Solution] An upper support (18) has: a cup fitting (28) serving as an inner fitting; an outer fitting (30); and a rubber elastic body (32) integrated with both the cup fitting (28) and the outer fitting (30) by vulcanization and adhesion, and the upper support (18) is manufactured as follows: the tube-shaped section (36) of a cup fitting (28a), which is to be integrated with the rubber elastic body (32) by vulcanization and adhesion, is shaped so as to have: a large-diameter section (110) located at the upper part of the tube-shaped section and continuing to a flange section (42); a small-diameter section (112) located at the lower part of the tube-shaped section; and a stepped section (114) located between the large-diameter section (110) and the small-diameter section (112), and after the cup fitting (28a) is integrated with the rubber elastic body (32) by vulcanization and adhesion, only the small-diameter section (112) is expanded in diameter by the press-fitting of a diameter expansion jig to apply pre-compression to the rubber elastic body (32).
