Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a valve device wherein, in a primary assembly step (S1), a portion of the component parts of the valve device are assembled. In a welding step (S2) a valve and a shaft are welded. In a heat treatment step (S3) a seal ring in which a spring has been mounted is heated at a prescribed processing temperature while the seal ring is arranged between the valve and an inner wall of a passage part, and the seal ring is plastically deformed by the tensile force of the spring so as to conform to the shape of a seal counterpart. The heat treatment step (S3) may be executed separately (S3A) from the welding step (S2), or may be executed simultaneously (S3B) with the welding step while utilizing heat from the welding step. In a secondary assembly step (S4) subsequent to the heat treatment step (S3) the component parts of the valve device other than the component parts assembled in the primary assembly step (S1) are assembled.
