Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a vibration damping device (1) comprises: a molding step for molding a rubber elastic body (22, 23); a coating step for coating adhesion surfaces between an inner tube (20)/an outer tube (21) and the rubber elastic body (22, 23) with an adhesive; a disposing step for disposing the inner tube (20), the outer tube (21), and the rubber elastic body (22, 23) in an assembly jig (3) in a state where a gap (25) is provided between an outer side surface (22d, 23d) of the rubber elastic body (22, 23) and an inner circumferential surface of the outer tube (21); and an assembly step for assembling the inner tube (20), the outer tube (21), and the rubber elastic body (22, 23) in the assembly jig (3) such that the rubber elastic body (22, 23) is held between the inner tube (20) and the outer tube (21) by causing the outer tube (21) to deform so as to fill the gap (25).
