Title:
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING VINYL POLYMER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/146253
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a method for manufacturing a vinyl polymer with monomodality and a narrow molecular weight distribution, that can minimize the amount of anionic polymerization initiator that is used while easily controlling the molecular weight. [Solution] A method for manufacturing a vinyl polymer, including: a first step for performing anionic polymerization of one or more types of vinyl monomer selected from conjugate diene monomers and vinyl aromatic monomers in the presence of an anionic polymerization initiator (A); a second step for adding a compound (B) expressed by general formula (1) into the system in which anionic polymerization was performed, and performing a proton abstraction reaction in the presence of 0.5 to 15 molar multiples of a tertiary amine (C) having three or more nitrogen atoms per mole of the anionic polymerization initiator (A); a third step for adding the vinyl monomer into the system in which the proton abstraction reaction was performed, and performing anionic polymerization; and a fourth step for stopping the anionic polymerization after the third step is complete. (In the formula, n represents 2 or 3, and R1 through R5 represents a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group with 1 to 8 carbon atoms.)
