Abstract:
The present invention relates to: a method for restoring the ecology of wastelands such as deserts, abandoned coal mines, oil-polluted areas, volcano-affected areas, areas in which harmful minerals or industrial wastes were discarded, rocky lands, and bare mountains, by using algae with which lichens have a symbiotic relationship, cyanobacteria, lichen-forming fungi, or thalli; and a composition for restoring ecology used for the method. Also, the present invention relates to a method for mass-producing thalli needed in restoring the ecology of the wastelands. The present invention can prevent desertification and yellow dust storms, and reform polluted areas such as abandoned coal mines and oil-polluted areas to be more conducive to the growth of plants, thereby preventing ecological and environmental pollution from deserts, abandoned coal mines, and oil-polluted areas.
