Abstract:
An apparatus for continuously measuring the acid concentration, comprising a combination of a main body having a flow passage for permitting a pickling liquid contained in a pickling bath to continuously flow in one direction, a densitometer, a thermometer and a conductivity meter provided in the main body so as to substantially continuously measure the density, temperature, and conductivity of the pickling liquid flowing through the flow passage, and an arithmetic unit for operating the acid concentration of the pickling liquid based on the measurement results. The apparatus is used for controlling, by feedback, the concentration of hydrochloric acid in the final pickling bath out of a plurality of pickling baths constituting a continuous pickling facility.
