Abstract:
According to the present invention, alcohol concentration is obtained without performing a step for obtaining a distillate. An alcohol fraction is removed by performing steam distillation or steam heating on a sample. Using a method for calculating an extract fraction E by Japanese National Tax Agency-prescribed analysis method 3-7, the extract fraction E of the alcohol-free sample is obtained. When the extract fraction E is obtained, the alcohol concentration A of the sample is obtained from an equation obtained by modifying the formula for obtaining the extract fraction E. Accordingly, the alcohol concentration can be obtained without performing a distillation step for obtaining a distillate.
