Abstract:
Measurement of three-dimensional displacements based on images formed by continuously imaging an object imposes a load on operators when the number of portions of interest of the object or the number of time steps in the displacement measurement is increased. To avoid this, a device for measuring displacements creates three-dimensional shape information and orthographically projected images of an object at each point in time by performing stereo measurement on stereo images (S40), tracks two-dimensional images of portions of interest by performing pattern matching between the orthographically projected images of successive times (S42), and determines two-dimensional displacement vectors (S44). Subsequently, the device for measuring displacements converts startpoints and endpoints of the two-dimensional displacement vectors into three-dimensional coordinates by using the three-dimensional shape information (S46), and determines three-dimensional displacement vectors (S48).
