Abstract:
The invention relates to measurement engineering and can be used for electric drop-jet marking printers. The inventive method involves the measurement of fluid viscosity consisting in pumping a fluid in a reservoir, flowing said fluid through a capillary channel and measuring the parameters of said flow, thereby making it possible to determine fluid viscosity. The fluid is pumped in a receiver (accumulator) with the aid of a pulse pressure source. When the fluid flows through the capillary channel, the time of pressure loss between two pressure levels is measured, thereby determining fluid viscosity. The inventive device comprises a reservoir, the receiver (accumulator) and pressure gauge which are arranged between the pressure source and the capillary channel, said pressure gauge being connected to a pressure-loss measuring device. One of the walls of the receiver (accumulator) is embodied in the form of a rubber membrane. In addition, said device can comprise a control valve, for example an electromagnetic valve for switching on the device when necessary, for example with required periodicity. Said control valve is serially connected to the capillary channel.
