Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a technique for suppressing the background value of a detection signal in order to build an immunoassay system for detecting a modified nucleic acid base. Specifically, the present invention provides a method for measuring a modified nucleic acid base, the method comprising incubating a nucleic acid sample and a capture probe in a solution, and measuring a modified nucleic acid base using an antibody to the modified nucleic acid base in the presence of an absorbent polynucleotide in the solution thus obtained. The present invention also provides a kit for measuring the modified nucleic acid base, the kit comprising a capture probe, an absorbent polynucleotide, and an antibody to the modified nucleic acid base.
