Abstract:
A method of measuring the thermal conductivity of a honeycomb structure is characterized by putting the temperature of the whole of a honeycomb structure (1) in a steady state with the opposite ends (11, 12) of the honeycomb structure (1) controlled to assume different predetermined temperatures, and measuring the thermal conductivity in this state. There is provided a method of measuring the thermal conductivity of a honeycomb structure that makes it possible to measure the thermal conductivity of a honeycomb structure in its shape kept intact or in a predetermined block shape without fabricating a test piece of particular shape or the like.
